What I Do at Epiphany

I am responsible for the functionality, administration, operations, and content for epic oncology™. I work closely with our clients to provide training and communicate updates and enhancements to epic oncology™ and meet with lead contacts to discuss issues and gain feedback on user experiences. I also work closely with our epidemiology team on inquiries and various projects.

Why I Chose Epiphany

Epiphany’s founding partners have a passion for fighting cancer and a strong commitment to their employees and their clients. Their innovative ideas, positive attitudes and strong ethics are values that make Epiphany a success. I truly feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work for Epiphany and be a part of a great company.

What I Did Before Epiphany

Before joining Epiphany, I worked for a financial services consulting firm in various management roles. My career has been focused on managing operations, projects and client relationships, with an eye towards creating IT solutions that help in meeting and exceeding client needs. I have experience working in corporate and consulting environments.

What Sets Epiphany Apart from Other Companies

Epiphany is a dynamic, forward-thinking company with a unique set of characteristics, including innovation, dependability, reliability and trustworthiness. The company has the expertise to deliver high-quality products and a passion for providing superior client service.

My Key Professional Skills

Client relations, product, project and operations management, database and website management, written and verbal communication skills.

Things I Do Besides Working

The area I live in is perfect for outdoor activities that I enjoy, including running, canoeing, hiking, biking and camping in the summer, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. My husband and I also keep busy with three dogs – two young French Brittany’s and a very active and adorable 13+ year-old mutt. I like to read and make cards, and vow to learn how to knit! I serve on the board of directors for the Vermilion Community College Foundation and the American Association for University Women (AAUW) Branch in Ely, Minnesota.

What I Do to Relax

Exercise, meditate, practice yoga, read, do various crafts.

A Random Encounter

I came back from a run to three bear cubs perched high in a pine tree, a mere 10 feet or so from the steps leading up to our cabin. I quickly ran inside and grabbed my iPhone to snap some pictures. I realized that momma bear, who was hunkered down in the woods nearby, needed to retrieve her family, so I quieted our dogs down and watched as she slowly approached the tree and coaxed the cubs down. The last little cub whimpered as it climbed unsteadily toward the ground and was obviously relieved when it was reunited with mom!
